How to help earthquake victims in Haiti

A little over a week ago, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck Haiti, followed by smaller ones in the days after.

Since then, over 2,200 people have died, thousands more are injured and hundreds are still missing. Tens of thousands of homes and buildings are destroyed or damaged. Locals are without shelter, food and other basic needs as they struggle to recover from the catastrophic natural disaster.

The following vetted nonprofits are meeting immediate and long-term needs by providing fresh meals and water, medical supplies and attention, rubble removal and financial support.

Support these organizations and the people of Haiti by logging on to, or signing up for, your Goodnation account and searching for organizations by name, or by emailing Emily Ball, Philanthropy Advisor.
