How to help Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida

Almost 16 years to the day after Hurricane Katrina tore through Louisiana, Hurricane Ida made landfall as a category 4 storm last night.

The citizens of Louisiana woke up this morning to assess the damage, which so far includes power outages for more than one million people, destruction to buildings, flooding and awaiting rescue, with 911 down in some areas.

These two vetted nonprofits have been on the ground since before the storm hit, preparing to respond immediately to the dire needs of New Orleans and the rest of the state. Your gift to World Central Kitchen or All Hands and Hearts will allow them to meet the immediate needs of hard-hit communities.
